Senior Luncheon

Each year on Columbus Day our church hosts a luncheon to honor the senior citizens of the area. We have conducted this major even for many years and it is anticipated by the seniors (especially the pie). There is no charge for the luncheon.

We always have a guest who may sing, play an instrument (we once had a handsaw player), do chalk art (with black light) or just speak. No matter the presentation we always make sure there is a testimony that will interest our guests and plant a seed of the gospel in their heart and mind.

Hallway decorations to welcome our guests for Luncheon.

Yep the server’s hair is green (only temporary - it will change)

Conversation lulls as the meatloaf, potatos and peas arrive.

But some conversations are hard to stop.

Plates are filled and taken to table

Our speaker for the day was Pastor Bob Kersten, the new pastor at Stamford United Methodist Church.
